RADIAL ARM SAW INFORMATION
  1. You must have the instructor’s permission before you use the Radial Arm Saw.
  2. The saw is usually set for making 90 degree crosscuts. Get permission if you need to make any angle cut or use any special set up.
  3. Be sure that the blade is installed correctly, and that it is sharp and in good condition.
  4. The depth of the blade should be set about 1/8" below the surface of the table.
  5. Be sure that the guards are in place and working properly.
  6. Make sure that the saw moves freely along the whole length of the track.
  7. Check the adjustment knobs & levers to see that they are set tight.
  8. An extension table should be used to support long pieces of stock.
  9. The blade must be cleared of any material before the saw is turned on.
  10. Do not try to cut free-handed on the Radial Arm Saw. Always use the fence.
