NFSP Mentor Application

Thanks for your interest in "Fishing in Schools" and working with us to assist our nation's youth in advancing their knowledge and skills in the outdoors.  To become certified to assist NFSP Level 1 Teachers, you may attend a 1 day Personal Training Session scheduled from time-to-time, or, take our convenient NFSP CAST Online Training Course available at any time.

To apply to become an NFSP Mentor for a National Fishing in Schools Program school or institution, please fill out and submit the application form below.  Please indicate your preference for the “Cast A Lure, Catch A Student” spincasting, or “Cast A Fly, Catch A Student” fly fishing, curriculum.  We will process your request and get back in touch with you the email address you provide below.

When requested by the teacher(s), I will assist them in instruction of his/her students in a manner that is fully consistent with the standardized NFSP Curriculum. 2. I will abide by the request to provide such assistance in a manner that uses the teaching methods and steps used in the standards-based curriculum. 3. I will help maintain consistency for all learners of how to cast by instructing in the NFSP method of teaching.
