1. The Lord prefers that judgment not fall upon people. He’d rather that they repent and return to Him. If they don’t repent, judgment is inevitable. The result of sin always has penalties. Intercessors pray for others to repent and seek God. Therefore, the Lord is always looking for those who will accept the burden to pray for others, so they might return to Him. While Israel was acting in sin, who does Ezekiel 21:30 say God found intercessors to pray for them?
2. God looks for spiritual warriors who will selflessly intercede on behalf of others. Intercessory prayer ministry is a constant. God always seeks volunteers who will join Him in kingdom work. This ministry circles the entire world interceding for the many who have no one else to “stand in the gap” for them. Otherwise, what does Ezekiel 21:31 say happens?
3. Let us not become too radical, however, in our intent to steer sinful people back to the Father, to wish them harm.
