BAND SAW INFORMATION
  1. Before using the band saw the blade should be checked to make sure it is tight & tracking properly and that it is the right type of blade for the work.
  2. Check to be sure that the blade is installed properly with the teeth pointing down.
  3. Get permission from the instructor before making any changes or adjustments on the saw.
  4. The wheel guards must be in place and locked before the saw is turned on.
  5. The blade guide should be adjusted so that it is about 1/8" above the material you are going to cut.
  6. When you switch on the saw, make sure it is tracking properly.
  7. If the saw makes a strange noise while it is running, turn it off immediately.
  8. Never stand on the right side of the table, and don’t let anyone else stand on that side while the saw is running.
