Christmas Fun Horse Show on Sunday December 22, 2024 for Lesson Students and Boarders Only
Boarders and current Session 2 Lesson students (ages 7 to adult) with at least 12 lessons prior to the show are welcome to participate.
Show will be split into 2-3 groups. Exact start times and age splits will be emailed out on program ahead. (Likely ages 13 to adult from 9am-1pm and ages 7-12 from 1-5pm.) Entry Deadline is Nov 15.
Rules: Show clothes are not required. Parents need to help younger kids catch and tack, as there will not be any TAs available. Classes will not start until the barn alley & tie stalls have been kept clean of manure, dirt, and grooming kits. Prizes: Ribbons to 6th place.
On show day there will be a short warm up before each group. At show, please come register and get your number for your back and class start time before going out to catch your horse.

Class Descriptions: Pleasure (horse judged) and Equitation (rider judged) going around the arena. Command Class (last one to do the command is out each round until only 1 left). Toilet Paper Pairs (must be able to ride in one hand to hold a piece between pairs). Egg & Spoon (riding in one hand holding an egg on a spoon) Thread the Needle/Pole Bending (gymkhana games). Ride and Run (ride to 1 end, get off and lead back to other end). 3 legged halter race (no horse required). Costume Class (dress up horse/rider or handler in Christmas themed costume that is safe/not scary to the horse you are riding).
